Approaching Dereham….

From the East (Norwich): Use the A47, leave on the slip-road next to Tesco’s.
 

To get to Car Park 1

 At the roundabout, take the third exit to head towards the town centre. Go straight on at the next two sets of lights, and then go straight over at the mini-roundabout. Continue over a further two mini roundabouts which will take you through the centre of Dereham. Once you reach the main road through the town centre, bear right until you reach the roundabout with the war memorial at the centre. Take the second exit at a set of traffic lights and bear immediately left after these lights and enter the car park with the Cherry Tree pub to your right.

To get to Car Park 2

Turn left at the next set of lights, then right again at the next lights, which will take you past the Kings Head PH, follow the road around to the left and to the car park.

From the West (Swaffham)

Use the A47, and just as it changes to dual-carriageway, leave on the slip-road.
 

To get to Car Park 1

At the bottom turn right, then at the lights turn left. Go straight over at the mini-roundabout. Continue over a further two mini roundabout which will take you through the centre of Dereham. Once you reach the main road through the town centre, bear right until you reach the roundabout with the war memorial at the centre. Take the second exit at a set of traffic lights and bear immediately left after these lights and enter the car park with the Cherry Tree pub to your right.

To get to Car Park 2

At the bottom turn right, then at the lights turn left. Take the right at the mini-roundabout which takes you past Morrisons. Turn left at the next set of lights, then right again at the next lights, which will take you past the Kings Head PH, follow the road around to the left and to the car park.

 

Alternatively, if you are familiar with the area, then you can leave the A47 at the previous junction, turning left into Drayton Hall Lane (signposted Fakenham, also brown tourist sign for Gressenhall museum). At the end of this road turn right and follow the road into the top end of town. Passing the war memorial on your right, to access car park 1 bear immediately left after these lights and enter the car park with the Cherry Tree pub to your right. Or to access car park 2 carry straight on the road passing through the traffic lights. About 300yrds down the road take the first right which will take you past Kwik Fit, bear right at the end of this road and you will be at the entrance to the car park.

From the North (Fakenham)

Leave Fakenham on the B1146 Dereham Road, continue for 6 miles until you come to a main junction, turn right and then take the immediate left (signposted Dereham 6 miles). Continue on this road for a further 3 miles until you have passed through the village of Beetley. Approximately ½ mile after the village you come to another cross roads. Turn right at the cross roads and continue for 2 miles until you reach Dereham. You will then reach another junction with the George Hotel directly in front of you. At this junction turn left into the town centre.

To get to Car Park 1

Passing the war memorial on your right, bear immediately left at the lights and enter the car park with the Cherry Tree pub to your right.

To get to Car Park 2

Passing the war memorial on your right carry straight on the road passing through the traffic lights. About 300yrds down the road take the first right which will take you past Kwik Fit, bear right at the end of this road and you will be at the entrance to the car park.

From the South (Watton/Thetford)

Enter Dereham on the A1075. Keep on this road until you reach a set of traffic lights with Roys Superstore on your right, turn left at the traffic lights.

To get to Car Park 1

Go straight over at the mini-roundabout. Continue over a further two mini roundabout which will take you through the centre of Dereham. Once you reach the main road through the town centre, bear right until you reach the roundabout with the war memorial at the centre. Take the second exit at a set of traffic lights and bear immediately left after these lights and enter the car park with the Cherry Tree pub to your right.

To get to Car Park 2

Take the right at the mini-roundabout which takes you past Morrisons. Turn left at the next set of lights, then right again at the next lights, which will take you past the Kings Head PH, follow the road around to the left and to the car park.
